Position Overview

The Precision Medicine research group led by Prof. Salvatore Piscuoglio (salvatore.piscuoglio@hunimed.eu) is seeking a highly motivated Translational Research Technician (100%) to join our team of bioinformaticians, molecular biologists, pathologists, and clinical fellows. The successful candidate will play a key role in both the coordination of research activities and the execution of laboratory work in support of ongoing research studies.

 

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and update research databases, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Support clinicians in patient recruitment and in the correct execution of study procedures.
  • Participate in the collection, handling, and documentation of biological samples.
  • Perform wet-lab activities, including tissue processing and PBMC isolation, for the maintenance of the internal biobank.
  • Contribute to the generation and maintenance of organoid cultures.
  • Collaborate closely with clinicians, researchers, and other laboratory staff to ensure the smooth execution of all study-related activities.

 

You’re the perfect candidate if you have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biological Sciences, Biotechnology, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a research laboratory (experience with cell culture, PBMC isolation, or organoids is an advantage).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills, particularly in an international and collaborative environment.
  • Good command of both English and Italian, as part of the role involves interacting with healthcare professionals and managing clinical data in Italian.
  • High attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
