POST DOC Leukocyte Biology Lab
Rozzano, IT, 20089
A post-doctoral position is currently available in the team of Prof. Massimo Locati at Humanitas Research Hospital (Rozzano, Milan - Italy) - Leukocyte Biology Lab.
The research interests of the lab are focused on macrophage biology, in particular their recruitment and functional properties in inflammatory and tumoral settings. The lab recently works on membrane-spanning four-domains subfamily A (MS4A) proteins expressed on macrophages, reporting the non-redundant role of MS4A4A in tumor spreading.
We offer a dynamic research environment, a chance to improve skills and knowledge and make important contribution to the biomedical research.
Project:
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a project aimed to define the role of MS4A proteins expressed on macrophages in cancer progression and metastatization. This objective will be achieved by functional genomics and flow cytometry approaches in mouse models of cancer using the gene-targeted mice: Ms4a4a-KO, Ms4a6d-KO and double KO.
Preferential requirements:
We look for candidates with a PhD degree in Biotechnology, Biology, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Sciences, or related fields. Previous research experience in cell biology, molecular biology and animal handling is required. The applicant should be an excellent team worker, fluent in spoken and written English.
Interested candidates should attached:
- a cover letter describing scientific experience, interests and career goals;
- full Curriculum Vitae;
- reference letter and/or names and contact information of at least two professional references.
All candidate data collected from the application shall be processed in accordance with applicable law: Dlgs 198/2006 e dei Dlgs 215/2003 e 216/2003; privacy ex artt. 13 e 14 del Reg. UE 2016/679.
