We are seeking a highly motivated young scientist for a Research Fellow (pre-doctoral) position within the Tumor Microenvironment Group.

 

Project overview

The successful candidate will contribute to a recently funded AIRC project investigating how the gut–prostate axis drives prostate cancer immunity and modulates response to anti-PD-1 immunotherapy.

The project combines in vivo tumor models, high-dimensional immune profiling, microbiome analysis, and functional studies of myeloid cells to identify novel mechanisms and actionable therapeutic targets in prostate cancer.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Perform in vivo mouse experiments and tissue collection
  • Conduct multiparametric flow cytometry and immune profiling
  • Contribute to microbiome and molecular analyses
  • Analyze and interpret experimental data
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary research team

 

Requirements

  • MSc degree (or equivalent) in Immunology, Cancer Biology, Biotechnology, or related disciplines
  • Strong motivation for translational cancer research
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team
  • Previous hands-on laboratory experience (flow cytometry and/or mouse work will be considered an asset)
