Junior fellow lab Molecular Pharmacology

The Laboratory of Molecular Pharmacology directed by dr Sergio Marchini at Humanitas Research Hospital is seeking a junior fellow to start his/her scientific activity in the field of cancer research.


We are looking for a highly motivated young researcher with a degree in biology or a related field with a short term hands-on experience in the following areas: molecular biology, cellular biology, and immunohistochemistry. Candidates publication are well accepted


A successful candidate should develop: i) ability to work as part of a team; ii) strong organizational skills; iii) excellent critical thinking abilities, and a desire to push the boundaries of existing knowledge.

The candidate researcher will work under supervision but he/her will be expected to lead methods development, lead manuscript writing efforts, and finally to conduct independent research and supervise junior researchers.


We offer a specific translational project to dissect the biology of stage I epithelial ovarian cancer in order to identify predictive biomarkers of tumor relapse. The project is based on the generation and integration of data obtained by next generation sequencing approach (NGS technology). Candidates will learn the main protocols for RNAseq and DNAseq experiments.

As part of his/her training, candidate will be included in the context of a multi-tasking research environment within Humanitas Research Hospital and with other national and international Research centers
