Junior Research Fellow

Rozzano, IT, 20089

A 1-year fellowship position is available at Humanitas Research Center (Rozzano, Milan) for junior research scientists who wish to collaborate within the scope of a research project on the “Clinical role of circulating tumor cells in lung cancer”.

The project aims at developing accurate diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers for the benefit of individuals at risk to develop a pulmonary neoplasm and of patients with resectable or advanced non-small cell lung cancer.

The junior research scientist will benefit of experimental resources and expertise in the field of circulating tumor cell detection and single cell next generation sequencing. He/she  will carry out the immunocytochemical and molecular analysis of clinical cytological samples, will perform experiments using cancer cell lines, and will collaborate in the management of the research laboratory, under the supervision of a postdoctoral research scientist. One-to-one meetings will be scheduled on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.

Highly self-motivated and skilled scientists with a master degree in life science disciplines are encouraged to apply. A strong background and proven expertise in cellular and molecular biology, along with  organizational and analytical skills are required.
