OF INNOVATIVE PROJECTS IN CARDIAC ELECTROPHYSIOLOGY

An applied program which will take place in the Division of Electrophysiology and Electro Stimulation Humanitas Research Hospital, Rozzano, Milano, Italy

Role for 1 clinician, whose tasks will include ward activities and development of innovative projects in the cardiac electrophysiology settings. The contribution will be used for a fellowship aimed at completing and improving the training course of a young doctor specialized in cardiology, in the field of electrophysiology and electrostimulation both for clinical and scientific aspects in order to optimize the management of affected patients from cardiac arrhythmias and heart failure.

Program

The physician identified must complete the following training course:

  1. Optimization of diagnostic and ECG interpretation in patients recovering from arrhythmic disturbances, with the goal of improving early detection and management of rhythm disorders.
  2. Syncope, electrical treatment, pacemaker implant techniques and outpatient Fu.
  3. Supraventricular Tachycardias and Ablative treatment
  4. Ablative treatment of Atrial fibrillation.
  5. Use of cardiac imaging integrated with electro-anatomical maps which represent an innovation to be optimize transcatheter ablation procedures.
  6. Outpatient follow-up management and through remote monitoring systems.

During the training course, the fellow will be closely mentored and supervised by experienced electrophysiologists and arrhythmia specialists. A structured training pathway will provide progressive exposure to clinical, outpatient, and electrophysiology laboratory activities, ensuring continuous guidance and support throughout the fellowship.

The fellow will work alongside leading experts in arrhythmology, actively participating in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with complex cardiac arrhythmias, device implantation procedures, transcatheter ablation interventions, and long-term follow-up management.

Period: 12 months

Regulations: the applicant must be graduated in MD and Cardiology Specialization, according to Italian rules/regulations. Young MD Cardiologist of age under 40 years old, with experience in Arrhythmia management, a high level of English language and a foreign experience.
