Humanitas Research Hospital is a highly specialised research and university hospital. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Laboratory Manager to join our dynamic team.

In this key role, you will support the Laboratory Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining the highest standards of laboratory practices. Your contributions will be vital in fostering an innovative, efficient, and safe laboratory environment.

The successful candidate will receive training and will report directly to the Laboratory Manager.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support the Lab Manager in overseeing and coordinating all laboratory operations to ensure optimal productivity and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Supervise daily activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards, quality procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to project planning and execution by coordinating timelines, allocating resources, and monitoring progress across multiple research initiatives.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to enhance efficiency, quality, and consistency across laboratory processes.
  • Collaborate with the Lab Manager to support strategic decision-making, including budgeting, staffing, and long-term resource planning.
  • Act as a key communication link between laboratory staff, management, ensuring smooth information flow and operational transparency.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a scientific field.
  • Strong teamwork skills.
  • Full technical knowledge of all laboratory areas.
  • Excellent time management skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
