The laboratory focuses on application of iPSC technology to study of cardiac diseases (either acquired or of genetic origin) for identifying new pathophysiological mechanisms and potential pharmacological targets. We also recently started to exploit bio-engineering approaches for the generation of cardiac organoids/microtissues and the development new therapeutic tools.

We use a wide variety of techniques, from iPSC technology and specific heart muscle cell types derived differentiation to CRISPR/Cas9 editing, electrophysiological approaches, advanced imaging, genetic and epigenetic methods, and in vivo studies, and we are always excited to add new expertise and perspectives.
